  • Layers: mornings from June to August can be cold, afternoons hot
  • Warm fleece or jacket for early starts on the vehicle
  • Wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Long sleeves and trousers for evenings and thorny bush

Boots and Footwear

  • Light, broken-in hunting boots with quiet soles and ankle support
  • A second pair in case one gets wet or damaged
  • Gaiters against grass seeds and thorns
  • Comfortable shoes or sandals for camp

Optics and Rifle Gear

  • Binoculars (8x or 10x)
  • Rifle with a low-power scope for dangerous game
  • Ammunition within the permitted limits
  • Sling, lockable hard rifle case, cleaning kit
  • Hearing and eye protection
Firearms and ammunition rules
